COVID-19 UPDATES

COUNTRIES WITH STRICT RESTRICTIONS

The following countries are not allowing any passenger to enter: Libya, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Myanmar, Lao People’s Dem. Rep., Korea Dem. People’s Rep., Papua New Guinea.

COUNTRIES WITHOUT ANY RESTRICTIONS

The following countries do not have any special restriction:Mexico (upon arrival a special form must be presented (click here), North Macedonia (Rep.).

Until 14 May 2021, passengers are not allowed to enter. This does not apply to nationals of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, British nationals and residents of the United Kingdom, nationals and residents of Australia, Israel, Korea (Rep.), New Zealand, Russian Fed., Rwanda, Serbia, Singapore, Thailand, USA and United Arab Emirates. More details can be found here. Passengers must complete a “Passenger Locator Form (PLF)” here not later than the day before arrival in Greece. A confirmation email or a QR code generated from the completed form must be presented upon arrival. Families can be accepted with one joint confirmation e-mail or a unique QR code. Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival. The test must be in English and must include the name and the passport or identity card number of the passenger. This does not apply to permanent residents of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Israel, Italy, Korea (Rep.), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, USA, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued at least 14 days before arrival. The vaccination certificate must be in English. Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 rapid test upon arrival. Passengers could be subject to self-isolation for up to 7 days.

GERMANY
Tourists’ entry is partially allowed. Passengers entering or transiting through Germany must have a negative COVID-19 test result. The test must be taken at most 48 hours before arrival. Tests accepted are: antigen, PCR, RT-LAMP and TMA. The test result must be in English, French or German. Until 30 April 2021, the test results for passengers arriving from Spain are accepted in Spanish. Passengers could be subject to quarantine for 10 or 14 days. More information can be found here.
FRANCE
Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Passengers must have a completed sworn statement obtained here. Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 PCR test and quarantine upon arrival.
SPAIN
Tourists’ entry is partially allowed. Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 72 hours before arrival. Passengers must complete an “FCS Health Control Form” here. A QR code generated from the completed form must be presented upon arrival. Passengers could be subject to quarantine for 10 days; details can be found here. Passengers are subject to medical screening upon arrival.
ITALY
Tourists’ entry is partially allowed. Anyone arriving from Schengen countries is required to present a negative molecular or antigen test, no older than 48 hours. Self-isolation for 14 days required for some countries.

Tourists’ entry is partially allowed. A negative PCR test is required for all countries. Self-quarantine for 10 days is required for all countries. There are exemptions to this rule, mainly for lorry drivers, seasonal farmworkers, and coronavirus medics.

Until 21 May 2021, passengers are not allowed to enter. This does not apply to nationals of Canada, permanent residents of Canada, passengers who are asymptomatic for Coronavirus (COVID-19) and travel for a non-optional or non-discretionary purpose. A negative COVID-19 test is required for all countries. Self-isolation for 14 days required for all countries. Flights from India and Pakistan are suspended. Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Canada.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Tourists’ entry is partially allowed. A negative PCR results required for some countries. Quarantine or self-isolation required for some travelers. Flights from India and Yemen are suspended. Until 21 May 2021, flights from Nigeria and South Africa are suspended. Passengers from Greece are allowed to enter. 
CHINA
Entry by foreign nationals holding a visa is suspended, including passengers from Greece. This does not apply to foreign nationals with a visa issued after 28 March 2020 with the place of issue outside the Mainland of China (please contact Smart Destination for specifications considering special restrictions), foreign nationals with a diplomatic, service, courtesy or C Visa, foreign nationals with a visa issued after 3 November 2020. Entry by foreign nationals with a residence permit is suspended (please contact us for specifications considering exceptions). Passengers are subject to medical screening and quarantine for 14 days. An “Exit/Entry Health Declaration Form” and the resulted QR code is required before departure (click here).
INDIA
Flights to India are suspended. Passengers are not allowed to enter. This does not apply to nationals of India, Nepal and Bhutan, passengers with an E-Visa (excluding E-Tourist visas). Passengers could be subject to quarantine for up to 14 days. Passengers arriving from specific countries (please contact for details) are subject to a COVID-19 molecular test upon arrival at their own expense. For passengers from Greece a negative RT-PCR test result is required at most 72 hours before departure. 
JAPAN
Tourists from all over the world are not allowed. Covid-19 test required for some countries.
Self-isolation for 14 days required for some countries.
KOREA
Tourists’ entry is partially allowed. Health screening and health questionnaire are required for all countries. Self-quarantine for 14 days required for all countries. This does not apply to passengers with a diplomatic, an official or a service passport.

Passengers from the majority of the countries are not allowed to enter and transit, including passengers from Greece. This does not apply to nationals and permanent residents of the USA and their spouses (a marriage certificate is necessary), members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their spouses or children, passengers with the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-1, C-1/D, C-2, C-3, CR-1, CR-2, D, E-1, G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, IR-1, IR-4, IH—4, IV, K-1, K-2, K-3, K-4, NATO-1, NATO-2, NATO-3, NATO-4, NATO-6, passengers with a DV visa issued between 1 October 2019 and 30 September 2020, passengers invited by the USA government for a purpose related to the containment of the pandemic. Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 3 days before departure from the first embarkation point. Passengers must complete a disclosure and attestation form before departure (download). Passengers arriving in New York must complete the “Traveler Health Form” (click here) .

BRAZIL
Flights from South Africa and United Kingdom are suspended. Passengers entering or transiting through Brazil must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Passengers and airline crew must complete a Traveler’s Health Declaration form before departure and present it upon arrival (click here).
ARGENTINA
Until 21 May 2021, flights from Brazil, Chile, India, Mexico and United Kingdom are suspended. Until 21 May 2021, passengers are not allowed to enter.

AUSTRALIA
Tourists’ entry partially allowed. Negative PCR results required for some travelers. Quarantine for 14 days required for some travelers. Until 15 May 2021, flights from India are suspended. Until 15 May 2021, passengers who in the past 14 days have been in India are not allowed to enter. Passengers who have a visa and have been granted an exemption before departure can enter Australia. 
NEW ZEALAND
Tourists’ entry partially allowed. Negative PCR results required for some travelers. Quarantine for 14 days required for some travelers.

Tourists’ entry partially allowed. Negative PCR results required for all countries. Self-isolation required if you develop any symptoms of COVID-19. Until 1 June 2021, flights from Tanzania and United Kingdom to the Russian Fed. are suspended.

Tourists’ entry is allowed. Negative PCR test is required for all countries. Quarantine not required.

SOUTH AFRICA
Passengers’ entry is partially allowed. A health screening and negative PCR test, at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point, is required for all countries. Anyone arriving to South Africa might be required to self-quarantine, depending on screening results. A completed “Traveler Health Questionnaire” must be submitted not more than 2 days before departure (click here).
CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC
Tourists’ entry is allowed. Anyone arriving to the Central African Republic will undergo a temperature screening and will be required to fill a health questionnaire. Quarantine for 21 days required for some countries.
